Although there are many great wallet options out there, this tutorial will recommend Trust Wallet (https://trustwallet.com/) for the following reasons:

A purpose-built mobile wallet is ideal because phone applications are generally a more solid option for storing your digital assets, especially when compared to popular browser-based alternatives like MetaMask. This isn't to say that those other wallets are not good, but your wallet is only as secure as the device it is stored on. Phones tend to be more convenient given that you are likely to always have your phone in your possession. All that said, you should feel free to decide what is best for your situation.

Although you may consider establishing a relationship with a trusted custodian, doing so is far beyond the scope of this tutorial. I would recommend against the use of any wallet which is custodial. It is also good to be aware that there are some shortcomings of Trust Wallet:

If you would like a more secure option for securing your crypto, and you don’t think any of the other software wallets seem right for you I would recommend a dedicated hardware wallet. I’ll let you DYOR but the short version is that they really are better. One of the better known ones are Ledger or Trezor.

If you think you might change your mind later, don't fret. Most wallets use a standard which makes it possible to actually move to a different wallet without creating a new one, but we will cover that in another tutorial.

After you have installed the wallet software, you will need to generate and secure your first seed phrase
